Republican Rep. Tom Barrett raises concerns about Trump's VA layoffs

Democrats — including U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, of Ann Arbor, and Rashida Tlaib, of Detroit — have been vocal about the VA's decision to reduce its workforce by thousands since President Donald Trump took office in late January. But Tuesday's letter from U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett, R-Charlotte, was one of the first instances in which a Michigan member of Congress from Trump's party publicly questioned the reductions.
